Greetings all:
As you all may or may not have noticed, there have been some changes here at Arabian Airlines Virtual Aviation (AAVA). Here is an update as to what has been happening the past couple of months.
First, we have a few new staff members and promotions. Eisa Godoussey, a long time pilot for AAVA, has accepted the role of Chief Operations Officer (COO) for the organization. Eisa has a great deal of passion, experience, and knowledge that he brings to this role which is greatly assisting as we implement our organizational changes. Outside of the VA, Eisa is a real world pilot and flight instructor.
A newer member to the organization is Steve Thyes. Steve began his career with AAVA as the Dubai Hub Manager, but has also recently accepted the role as our new Director of Human Resources. Outside of the VA, Steve has a background in Human Resources that will greatly assist the organization as we move forward. Moving forward, Steve will continue to hold a dual role as the Dubai Hub Manager and Director of Human Resources.
Next, we have Daniel Desjardins. Daniel has joined the organization as our Airbus Chief Pilot, and will be reporting to the COO. He is a real world Airbus pilot for Air Canada and brings a great deal of technical knowledge and expertise to this role. Currently he is working on a number of projects that will enhance the realism factor for our pilots, so stay tuned!
Last, but not least, we have Karl Spielmann. Karl is the newest addition as our Boeing Chief Pilot, and will also be reporting to the COO. Karl is a real world pilot for Emirates as a Boeing 777 pilot. Karl will be working on all Boeing literature and training as it pertains to AAVA. His expertise and experience will allow him to be a great asset for the organization.
Contact information for all of the new staff members is listed below. Feel free to contact these gentlemen and welcome them. Part of the “new” culture we hope to see here at AAVA is one of a “family” nature. Let us treat each other with a mutual respect, and let us have the utmost integrity in all of our actions, keeping true to our motto, “uniting people, uniting worlds”. Given this camaraderie, we aspire to be the premier VA in the Middle East and we are well on our way to achieving this goal.
A couple of other changes to be briefly outlined are the launch of our new website, and our new online and offline pilot structure. These are two items that are in the works and there will be more to come. Again friends, we would like to thank you for all of your loyalty and we look forward to celebrating many successes with you. Clear skies to all!
